Kimberly Brennan Joins CBRE’s New York Leadership Team

CBRE announced that Kimberly Brennan has joined its New York leadership team as senior managing director.

Brennan, who previously served as chief operating officer, New York Tri-State Region, at Colliers International, will be a key member of CBRE’s New York leadership team.

“Kim is a great addition to our management team,” said Matt Van Buren, President, Northeast Division, at CBRE. “She is deeply knowledgeable of the New York real estate market, knows how to drive business, has great people skills and is highly regarded by our senior professionals.”

She joins CBRE’s New York leadership team, which includes Van Buren, Michael Casey, Susan Nagler-Cohen, Travis Yuengst, Elaine Kleinberg, Ruth Levy and Jennifer Czubaja.

For Brennan, who has more than 20 years of experience in New York area real estate, her new role at CBRE represents a homecoming.  She served as market research manager at Insignia/ESG, which CBRE acquired in 2003, and rose to the position of director of Brokerage Services in Midtown Manhattan.

Prior to joining Colliers, she was the highest-ranking female commercial real estate executive in New Jersey, serving as market leader for Cushman & Wakefield’s New Jersey region.

Brennan has been featured in Real Estate New Jersey as a “Women of Influence” (2006 – 2009) and as a ”40 Under 40″ (2008). NJBiz also named her a “40 Under 40” in 2008 and a “Best Fifty Women in Business” in 2011. She has a degree in Political Science from Seton Hall University and is a licensed real estate broker in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. She is an active member of several key industry organizations, including NAIOP and CREW.
