Kearny Bank Appoints Four Vice Presidents

Roseland-based Kearny Bank has appointed four professionals to roles as vice presidents of Small Business Banking. Kenneth Baron, Richard Halter, Trupti Patel, and Bob Sferrazza are charged with helping expand Kearny Bank’s Small Business Banking division. They’ll work with branch managers – as well as commercial and industrial lenders, mortgage lenders, and small business administration lenders – to expand deposits, develop new business opportunities, and enhance customer retention.

  • Kenneth Baron, a resident of Wyckoff, is based in the Wyckoff branch. Baron has a background in commercial banking, having been an officer with several northern New Jersey-based institutions. He is among the founders of the Friends of Doug Duchak, a non-profit providing funds for local autism programs and high school scholarships.
  • Howell resident Richard Halter – whose expertise is in business development and sales – is based at the Spring Lake Heights location. Halter is a member of the Jersey Shore Chamber of Commerce and volunteers with Toys for Tots, Kicks for Kids, and Friendly Sons of Shillelagh in Belmar.
  • A resident of Lake Hiawatha, Trupti Patel is based at the bank’s Fairfield headquarters office. Patel has more than 25 years of experience in compliance, sales, service, and management, with emphasis on small businesses and investments. She is a member of the Essex Chamber of Commerce and Hudson Rotary Club.
  • Bob Sferrazza, of Cedar Grove, is based at the Fairfield headquarters and has more than 35 years of experience in the banking sector. A member of the Meadowlands Chamber of Commerce and International Association of Approved Basketball Officials, Inc., Sferrazza also runs a men’s softball league in Roseland.
