Kean University Announces Kean Online

Kean University recently expanded into e-learning with the launch of Kean Online.  Created with the community college graduate in mind, Kean Online offers 24/7 access to lectures, video presentations, and instructional materials.  Kean Online will have the ability to connect with classmates and Kean faculty via online chat.

“Kean University has a long tradition of making higher education more accessible in New Jersey and beyond,” said Kean University President Dr. Dawood Farahi.  “Kean Online removes many of the obstacles people face on their path to a college degree.  We make it easy to transfer community college credits and work around the demands of work, family, and life.”

Kean Online provides students with tutoring, internship placement and academic advising.  Students are encouraged to customize their experience.  They can register for webinars and discussions, engage via social media, and network online with Kean’s various social and professional organizations.

Kean online students are encouraged to explore Kean’s beautiful urban campus, which includes an extensive library, art galleries, theaters, a farm-to-table restaurant, computer labs, and three Starbucks locations, as well as sophisticated research and recreational facilities.

Kean Online currently offers a degree program in Global Business.  Additional degree programs in Criminal Justice, Business Management, Educational Administration, Computer Information Systems, and Nursing are planned for the near future.

Kean Online’s B.S. in Global Business is designed to introduce students to international business practices in the comfort of their homes. Placing students on the path to viable careers in today’s global economy, Kean Online provides career preparation and job search resources.  Kean Online coursework emphasizes innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship. Classes include: International Business & Trade, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Management Information Systems, Business Statistics & Applications, and Management of Corporate Finance.
