John H. Kirkenir Installed as President of the New Jersey Builders Association

The New Jersey Builders Association (NJBA) is pleased to announce that John H. Kirkenir was installed as president of the New Jersey Builders Association (NJBA) earlier this evening at the 68th annual Atlantic Builders Convention (ABC) in Atlantic City.

President Kirkenir stated, “I’m honored to assume the office of president with a deep sense of humility and appreciation for the Trust and Confidence shown in me. I look forward to leading NJBA over the next year as we fight for fair and balanced pro-growth housing policies in NJ.”

Mr. Kirkenir serves as Managing Member/Principal with Alliance Homes LLC and Affiliates and Broker of Record/Principal with Benchmark Realty LLC. Mr. Kirkenir is a former Certified Public Accountant with experience in a “Big Eight” accounting firm (Touche Ross and Co.) and for the last 30 years has been involved in residential and commercial real estate development. Mr. Kirkenir is a Life Director on NJBA’s Board of Directors and chairs NJBA’s Legislative Affairs Committee. He also serves as a Trustee on the Builders Political Action Committee Board of Trustees. Previously, Mr. Kirkenir chaired NJBA’s Environmental Affairs, Budget & Finance, Land Use & Redevelopment, and Legal Action Committees. Mr. Kirkenir was inducted into NJBA’s Builder Hall of Fame in 2012. He has served as Vice President of State Affairs and currently serves as a Life Director on the Builders League of South Jersey’s Board. Mr. Kirkenir holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Gettysburg College.

NJBA CEO Carol Ann Short, Esq. stated, “Mr. Kirkenir has been a staunch supporter of the building industry in NJ and has worked tirelessly to advance the interests of NJBA as a member and NJBA Officer. I am certain that he will be an excellent leader for our association as we enter this critical election year in NJ.”
