JLL Secures 144,000 SF for GSK Consumer Healthcare at 184 Liberty Corner Road in Warren

JLL completed a new, direct lease for GSK Consumer Healthcare at 184 Liberty Corner Road, also known as Center 78, in Warren, with Normandy Real Estate Partners. The global consumer healthcare company signed a 10-year lease for 144,000 square feet of space at the Class A, 372,000-square-foot commercial office building.

The tenant was represented by Daniel Loughlin, international managing director and brokerage lead for New Jersey; Scott Lesh, managing director; and J.C. Giordano III, executive vice president, all with JLL. Building owner Normandy Real Estate Partners, was represented by William O’Keefe, senior vice president, with DTZ.

“GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare and Novartis OTC recently formed GSK Consumer Healthcare to create a leading fast-moving consumer healthcare company,” said Lesh. “JLL was selected to find a first-class, centrally located office building that could serve as the headquarters of a new U.S headquarters. As GSK would be the largest tenant at Center 78, we were able to negotiate a branding opportunity for the company that includes high-profile building signage. The new company plans to create a GSK Shopper Science Lab that will use state-of-the art shopper insight tools and technologies to understand how and why shoppers make decisions and what influences their choices.”

GSK Consumer Healthcare signed a 10-year lease for 144,000 square feet of space and will occupy a portion of the first floor and the entire second floor at 184 Liberty Corner Road, which is located directly off the Exit 33 ramp of I-78 at Martinsville Road in Warren. The newly formed company is opening its U.S. corporate headquarters at the office building.

The four-story Center 78 was constructed in 1982. Normandy Real Estate Partners completed a multi-million capital improvement project at the building in 2012, with the effort including a new main entrance, lobby, elevator cabs and bathrooms, fitness and conference facilities. The property also features a 3,200-square-foot, full-service café; a 1,500-square-foot conference center and a 2,200-square-foot fitness center.
