Jidan Cleaning Acquires Pieco Services Property Maintenance

Customers to benefit from one-stop solution for full-service interior and exterior commercial cleaning and maintenance services

Two established family-owned New Jersey-based businesses have come together to create a one-stop, full-service interior and exterior cleaning/maintenance business for commercial customers.

Medford-based Jidan Cleaning, an award-winning full-service commercial cleaning business, has announced the acquisition of Pieco Services Property Maintenance, a landscaping and property management business based in Williamstown.

Jidan Cleaning, founded in 2005 by Patricia Claybrook, president and CEO, is a commercial cleaning business servicing customers – including Fortune 100 companies – throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware. Core services include office cleaning, post-construction cleaning, carpet and window cleaning and stripping and waxing.

Pieco Services was founded by Bobby Scannapieco over 20 years ago and has earned a reputation of providing quality work for commercial building owners, retail centers, industrial complexes, corporate facilities, multi-unit housing developments and residential estates. The business provides exterior commercial services including landscaping, facility maintenance, parking lot maintenance and snow removal.

“Acquiring Pieco is a natural next step in taking our business to the next level and providing customers with a convenient, one-stop solution to keeping their properties clean – inside and out,” said Claybrook. “Over the years, my customers have expressed a continued need for landscaping and property management services. Rather than referring this work out, we can now provide customers with all of these services with a brand name they know and trust.”

Claybrook underwent an exhaustive search to find a business that reflected her company’s core values.

“When I met Bobby and learned more about his business – I knew instantly that it was the perfect match. We’re like minded businesses – in terms of being family-owned, strong brand recognition and providing quality service.”

Scannapieco will remain on staff to ensure a smooth transition for Pieco customers and employees, working closely with Maurice Claybrook, COO of Jidan, who will assume operational day-to-day management of Pieco.

“After over two decades of building my business and providing exceptional work to my customers, it’s time to hand over the reins. I’m excited for this opportunity and feel comfortable knowing that Pieco will continue to deliver the same quality of product and service under Jidan’s management,” said Scannapieco, who will play an instrumental role in managing and transitioning the relationship between existing customers and the new management team.

Both Pieco and Jidan’s existing workforce will remain in place and Pieco will retain the same name. Claybrook added that the business transaction will afford growth opportunities for both Pieco and Jidan employees.

Jidan Cleaning has been recognized for its work and leadership by industry and trade associations including Minority Business Leader by Philadelphia Business Journal; Minority Supplier of the Year by the Pennsylvania-New Jersey-Delaware Minority Supplier Development Council (MSDC); Sydney Bridgett Award by Franklin & Marshall College (honoring Pat Claybrook). With offices in Medford, Philadelphia and Baltimore, Jidan is a verified member of BSCAI and ISSA and is certified as a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) by the Minority Supplier Development Council of PA-NJ-DE, Small Business Enterprise (SBE) and Minority /Women’s Business Enterprise M/WBE by the State of New Jersey.
