Intellectual Property Lawyers Form Peroff Saunders, PC

A group led by Mark Peroff and Darren Saunders, well-known intellectual property attorneys with a large global practice, has formed Peroff Saunders, PC, with offices in New York, New Jersey and Chicago. Peroff was previously managing partner of the New York office of Wilson Keadjian Browndorf (WKB) and Saunders was a partner at that firm. They are also being joined by other lawyers from WKB.

Peroff has helped clients around the globe to protect their intellectual property and has seen intellectual property law evolve over an extensive career that has included government, multi-national corporations and private practice. His previous positions at the United States Patent and Trademark Office, in industry and in private practice enable him to bring a multi-faceted approach to strategic issues – advising clients not only on how to solve immediate problems, but on how to use their intellectual property as a strategic asset.

Saunders has more than 25 years of experience in litigation in federal courts around the U.S., involving trademarks, copyrights, patents, unfair competition, false advertising and related areas at the trial and appellate levels and in administrative proceedings before the U.S. International Trade Commission and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He also has extensive experience, and regularly represents clients, in the acquisition and licensing of intellectual property.

Peroff’s and Saunders’ clients span a spectrum of industries, including luxury goods, fashion, retail, software development, and computer games. They and their team have served as long-term counsellors for many of these clients, expanding relationships as clients’ businesses have grown and changed over time. They have filed over 6,000 US trademark applications and been responsible for the procurement of countless foreign applications.
