Integrity House Executive Elected President of the NJ Society of Addiction Medicine

Integrity House Executive Medical Director Dr. Tony Rajiv Juneja, M.D., M.S. has been elected president of the New Jersey Society of Addiction Medicine (NJSAM) for a 2-year term that began on Jan. 1.

NJSAM advances the treatment of addiction through education of physicians, physicians-in-training, and other health professionals. The society promotes research, prevention, and implementation of evidence-based treatment. It offers high-quality, evidence-based continuing medical education to enable physicians and other health professionals to improve the treatment of patients with substance use disorders. NJSAM courses draw upon the latest research and clinical advances in the scientific and medical communities and feature top experts in the field. The society was awarded “Accreditation with Commendation” by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the Institute for Medical Quality. Accreditation with Commendation is the highest level of accreditation and is awarded only to a small percentage of CME providers.

“Dr. Raj,” as Juneja is known to his peers and clients, is triple board certified in adult psychiatry, integrative medicine, and addiction medicine. He was the chairman of the Ocean County Opioid Task Force in New Jersey dedicated to reducing the impact of addiction in youth, in an area where opioid addiction is at an all-time high. Juneja’s vast experience in psychiatry and addiction medicine, has given him the sound scientific and interpersonal framework for helping people to transcend their addictive behaviors. As a strong believer in Eastern approaches and natural medicine, he acquired additional training in those approaches. Juneja also has advanced training in psychoanalysis and is a human behavior expert.
