Horizon BCBSBNJ Named “The Best Insurance Company” for Overall Customer Satisfaction

Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey  (Horizon BCBSNJ) has been named “The Best Insurance Company of 2016” in the health insurance field, according to Insure.com, an industry website that offers a broad array of consumer-focused insurance information and services. The online insurance site surveyed more than 4,000 customers with car, home, life, or health insurance plans and respondents provided ratings on their levels of satisfaction with their insurance companies.

“Horizon is focused on making our member experience the best that we can and we’re working continuously to improve our service,” said Mark Barnard, senior vice president of Service for Horizon BCBSNJ. “The Insure.com survey indicating that we are a leading company when it comes to customer service demonstrates that our hard work is paying off and that our customers intend to stay with us for their health insurance needs,” Barnard added.

In its survey, Insure.com noted that Horizon BCBSNJ “scored its highest marks, five stars, in claims processing and customer service. The company’s retail center in South Jersey, Horizon Connect, provides face-to-face help with the insurer’s health benefits, wellness programs and enrollment.”

Two other Blue Cross Blue Shield companies also received top marks in the survey.

In the health insurance category, Insure.com surveyed customers of 15 large companies. Respondents to the survey gave ratings on their insurer’s customer service, claims-handling and pricing. Additionally, respondents shared whether they plan to renew their current policy and whether they would recommend their insurer to a friend.
