Edison-based HealthEC, LLC has hired Robert Osburn to be the company’s new chief operating officer.
Prior to joining HealthEC, Osburn held numerous positions at Unisys HIM and Molina Healthcare Corporation’s Molina Medicaid Solutions unit (acquired by DXC Technology in 2018), including chief health policy officer, chief operating officer, and vice president of business & strategic development. For more than a decade he drove organizational performance, including strategic planning, product innovation, partnerships, and business development.
“Robert’s government and commercial health plan expertise and record of achievement in both the provider and payer space makes him the ideal professional for this role,” said Arthur Kapoor, President and CEO of HealthEC. “His contracting skills, command of the regulatory landscape and ability to identify revenue opportunities align particularly well with HealthEC’s plans to expand our government business and to show state Medicaid agencies how to leverage our population health management platform to measure and compare evidence-based performance and outcomes of managed care organizations, providers and members.”
Osburn has also held senior leadership roles at Healthcare Enhancement Systems Inc., Columbia/HCA Healthcare Corporation, Comprehensive Care Corporation, and other healthcare organizations. He has also served as a Hold Separate Trustee for the Federal Trade Commission.
“As the healthcare industry embraces population health management and value-based contracting, and demand for our services grow, we look forward to Robert’s stewardship and the comprehensive experience he brings to the position,” Kapoor said.
Osburn holds master’s degrees in Healthcare Administration and Business Administration from Webster University and is a board member of the Virtual School of Music, the LifeCare Foundation and ReliaCare Holdings.
