HBK CPAs & Consultants Continues N.J. Expansion with Cherry Hill Merger

HBK CPAs & Consultants (HBK) announced today the signing of a definitive merger agreement under which Cordua, Pastore & Associates, LLC (CP) will join its multidisciplinary financial services firm. The merger represents greater expansion into New Jersey for HBK, rated as a Top 100 firm by both Accounting Today and Inside Public Accounting magazines.

“We welcome the entire Cordua Pastore team to the HBK family. They share our service philosophy of establishing enduring relationships that serve our clients’ best interests. When service approaches and cultures are aligned, mergers are successful and everyone wins. That is certainly the case here!” said Christopher Allegretti, CPA and managing principal of HBK.

“We are always interested in potential partnerships with solid, viable firms that meet our quality and service standards and share our culture and business philosophies and CP certainly meets all of these qualifications,” said James Bartolomei, CPA and principal-in-charge of the New Jersey region for HBK.

“This merger provides opportunities for our professionals to better serve their clients,” noted Peter J. Cordua, CPA and Managing Principal for CP, “from both a depth of service perspective and in terms of industry niche expertise,” he said. Added Vincent M. Pastore, CPA and director of taxation for CP, “Although we spoke with several large firms about the possiblity of joining them, HBK stood out because of their approach: local office service delivery with large regional firm resources. This benefits our clients and our team in a way that wasn’t possible for us as a local firm.”

CP has served the Cherry Hill area for the last 25 years. The firm has 14 employees and its main area of concentration has been small and medium-sized businesses. “We have focused on family-owned and closely-held businesses by employing CPAs who have the experience and training in the areas of taxation and accounting specific to these types of organizations,” Pastore said.

CP’s entire team will operate as HBK CPAs & Consultants from its current office in Cherry Hill. “We’re the same people our clients have always known, offering the same dedicated service. This merger will have only positive effects on our clients, allowing us to offer a greater range of service and expertise to compliment our clients’ growing businesses,” Cordua stated.
