Hackensack Meridian Health Enters Agreement with Amerigroup

Hackensack Meridian Health has expanded its agreement with Amerigroup. The extended relationship provides Amerigroup’s Medicaid product members access to Hackensack Meridian’s 18 hospitals, home care services, most Hackensack Meridian physician practices and more than 500 patient care locations throughout New Jersey.

“Hackensack Meridian Health is committed to increasing patient access to high quality, integrated care,” said Patrick R. Young, president of Population Health, Hackensack Meridian Health. “We know how important it is for individuals to receive preventive, routine care to maintain their well-being. This partnership will help ensure Amerigroup’s members have access to that care.”

This expanded agreement now includes all Hackensack Meridian hospitals, including its four hospitals in the southern half of New Jersey, including; Jersey Shore University Medical Center and K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital in Neptune, Ocean University Medical Center in Brick, Southern Ocean University Medical Center in Manahawkin and Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank.

“We have made significant investments in our medical centers and network services in Ocean and Monmouth counties to meet the needs of the growing populations in the communities we serve,” said Kenneth N. Sable, M.D., MBA, FACEP, regional president, Southern Market, Hackensack Meridian Health. “I’m glad that through this arrangement with Amerigroup, their members can benefit from our award-winning medical centers and expert physicians and medical practitioners.”
