Hackensack Meridian Health Appoints New SVP and CMO

Hackensack Meridian Health announced that Rose M. Glenn, an executive with more than 30 years of communications and marketing experience in the health care industry, has been named senior vice president and chief marketing officer for the 16-hospital network.

“Rose Glenn’s consistent record of achievement in increasing market share and improving patient satisfaction will play a vital role as we continue to develop Hackensack Meridian Health as an exceptional, innovative, high-quality provider,’’ said Robert C. Garrett, co-CEO of Hackensack Meridian Health.

Glenn, selected after an extensive national search, worked for 18 years at Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, Michigan, most recently as senior vice president, marketing and consumer experience officer. Glenn led public relations, marketing and digital strategies to further Henry Ford’s brand equity, growth and patient engagement locally and nationally.

Prior to Henry Ford, Glenn held leadership positions at ProMedica Health System in Toledo, Ohio; Bon Secours Healthcare System in Grosse Pointe, Michigan and Mercy Hospitals in Detroit. Glenn is also president-elect of the Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development, the American Hospital Association’s membership group for marketing, communications and planning professionals.

She received her bachelor of arts in Journalism from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a master’s degree in Strategic Public Relations from the George Washington University, where she received honors as valedictorian.

Glenn, scheduled to assume her new duties Sept. 24, has received numerous awards for marketing, advertising and web strategies during her career and was recognized in 2018 with the Distinguished Alumni Award from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
