Hackensack Meridian Health Announces New Slate of Board Leaders

Edison-based Hackensack Meridian Health announces its new slate of board leaders serving on the Hackensack Meridian Health Network board of trustees and the Hackensack Meridian Health Hospital Corporation board of trustees.

The following are Hackensack Meridian Health Network board of trustees officers and executive committee members:

Gordon N. Litwin, Esq. is chair of the Hackensack Meridian Health Network board of trustees. Litwin is an attorney and partner at Litwin & Provence, LLC. He focuses his practice of law in the areas of environmental, municipal, redevelopment, real estate and commercial litigation.

Frank L. Fekete, CPA is vice chair of the Hackensack Meridian Health Network board of trustees. Fekete is a managing partner with Mandel, Fekete & Bloom, CPAs, a certified public accounting firm based in Jersey City. He has been with the firm more than 30 years.

Keith Banks is secretary of the Hackensack Meridian Health Network board of trustees. Banks is vice chair of Global Wealth and Investment Management at Bank of America. He oversees the Investment Solutions Group encompassing GWIM Chief Investment, Alternative Investments, Capital Markets and the platforms supporting U.S. Trust and Merrill Lynch.

Peter S. Reinhart, Esq. is treasurer of the Hackensack Meridian Health Network Hackensack Meridian Health announces its new slate of board leaders serving on the Hackensack Meridian Health Network board of trustees and the Hackensack Meridian Health Hospital Corporation board of trustees.. Joseph Simunovich is immediate past chair of the Hackensack Meridian Health board of trustees. Simunovich serves on the board of directors for SUEZ North America, delivering a unique combination of corporate, government and entrepreneurial experience with extensive expertise in sales, marketing, public relations and corporate communications.

Robert C. Garrett, CEO of Hackensack Meridian Health, serves ex-officio on the Hackensack Meridian Health Network board of trustees. Garrett, who launched his career at Hackensack University Medical Center in 1981, previously served as president and CEO of the Hackensack University Health Network, significantly expanding the network through a series of acquisitions, partnerships and affiliations.

Peter H. Wegener, Esq. serves at-large by appointment on the Hackensack Meridian Health Network board of trustees. Wegener is a senior partner at Bathgate, Wegener & Wolf, P.C. A founding partner of the firm since 1970, he is the senior litigating attorney at Bathgate, Wegener & Wolf, P.C. and one of the leading experts in the field of eminent domain.

Michael A. Kleiman, D.M.D. serves at-large by appointment on the Hackensack Meridian Health Network board of trustees. Dr. Kleiman is chair of the Board of Directors of JFK Medical Center, where he is on staff. He is in private practice at Edison-Clark Oral Surgery Associates.

Thomas J. Kononowitz serves at-large by appointment on the Hackensack Meridian Health Network board of trustees. Kononowitz is retired from New Jersey Natural Gas Company after a successful 42-year career. As senior vice president he was responsible for Marketing Services, Customer Services, Consumer and Community Relations and the Corporate Foundation.

J. Fletcher Creamer Jr. serves at-large by appointment on the Hackensack Meridian Health Network board of trustees. Creamer is the fourth generation of Creamers to lead J. Fletcher Creamer & Son, Inc. He began as a laborer in 1970, advancing through numerous positions along the way to his appointment as chief executive officer in 2006.
