Dynamic Strategies Announces Strategic Alliance with Cybersecurity Firm Harbor Technology Group

Dynamic Strategies, Inc. (DSI), a Cranbury-based Managed Service Provider (MSP) that serves small and mid-size business (SMB) space with Information Technology (IT), helpdesk and other computer network services, announced today that it has formed a strategic alliance with Harbor Technology Group (Harbor), a provider of cybersecurity services to the SMB market.  Harbor offers fractional Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) as a contracted service on a C-level consulting model, as well as cyber security risk assessment for its clients.

“Partnering with Harbor positions us to offer our clients proactive security services and security assessments,” says DSI’s President and CEO, Darek Hahn.  “The Harbor team has a strong history of extraordinary performance in security and brings with them a striking portfolio of expertise that complements and enhances DSI’s core services. Small and mid-size businesses are every bit as concerned with the potential vulnerability of their data as the biggest players in the market. This alliance further fortifies our commitment to our clients by adding risk assessment and executive level security consulting to the 24/7 monitoring and host of other responsive services that DSI already delivers. We believe that, together, our strengths represent a comprehensive and formidable IT and cyber-security solution in the SMB market.  And, that speaks to our long-standing covenant to serve and protect our clients.”

“A data breach is not always caused by a hacker gaining access to an online archive of information. It could be as simple as losing employee files.  Businesses under 1000 employees are typically focused on conducting business, not assessing for risk and establishing security controls.  Yet, a simple lost file could lead to extreme challenges in the form of fines and worse. In fact, its been reported that over 50 percent of SMBs that have had a significant breach, go out of business within 12 months,” says Harbor Technology Group Partner, Michael Markulec. “Allying ourselves with DSI helps us deliver around-the-clock monitoring and other information technology services to our clients beyond our executive-level cyber-security strategy and consulting.  Working together, we will deliver a set of greatly enhanced IT and security services to the marketplace.  It’s a win-win for both companies, and our clients.”

Keith Jackson, DSI’s Vice President, Sales and Marketing, suggests that security should be a vital component of any SMB’s operations.  “Every day in the news we read that a business has been hacked.  Security threats are growing, not decreasing.  It makes sense for DSI to expand its portfolio.  We’ve long provided security services, but Harbor focuses exclusively on creating proactive security roadmaps and cybersecurity guidance. They have the security piece of the equation; we have the monitoring.  Both companies are complementary.  Forming a strategic alliance allows us to leverage each other’s skillsets to provide a better customer experience.  Harbor’s core values align with those of DSI.  Their rallying call is to understand their customer’s business before anything else…and, to provide education around security to smaller and mid-size businesses.  Those values are in total alignment with Dynamic Strategies.”
