CSG Law Announces 2025 Trusts & Estate Chairs

Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC (CSG Law) has named attorneys Michelle Bergeron Spell and Steven A. Loeb chair of CSG Law’s Trusts & Estates Group.

Spell, who is also the Practice Group Leader of the Trusts & Estates Group, has extensive experience in multi-generational estate planning and asset protection for high-net-worth individuals, families and business owners as well as the administration of complex estates and trusts. Loeb, who is also Chair of the Tax Group, has more than 20 years of experience serving as an advisor in the areas of estate planning, estate administration, estate litigation, charitable planning, marital planning, and nonprofit formation and counseling.

“In their new roles as Chairs of the Trusts & Estates Group, Michelle and Steve will continue to bring the same high level of insight and guidance as they have in their prior firm leadership roles,” said CSG Law Managing Member Marie Mathews. “Their elevation highlights the firm’s ongoing efforts to grow strategically while providing the best-in-class services to our clients.”

Spell frequently speaks to professional and industry association audiences on a variety of strategic planning and asset protection topics. She provides pro bono services, working with several nonprofit organizations to help them establish state and federal tax-free status. She earned her J.D., cum laude, from Seton Hall University School of Law, her LL.M in Taxation from New York University School of Law, and her B.A. from Louisiana State University.

Loeb also is a frequent lecturer before professional associations on the topics of estate planning, tax minimization, asset protection and corporate law. He has been featured in The New York Times, Insider, Barron’s, Standard Federal Tax Reports, Trusts and Estates Law Section Journal of the New York Bar Association, The Daily Record and New Jersey Monthly. He earned his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law, his LL.M in Taxation from New York University School of Law, and his B.A. from Rutgers University.
