Mike Affuso, president of the New Jersey Bankers Association, recently announced that Gail Corrigan, senior vice president/corporate secretary at Kearny Bank, is the recipient of the association’s ‘Woman of Impact’ award.
Corrigan, of Brielle, was recognized for her commitment and leadership to the advancement of women in the banking industry. She was selected by a group of independent judges after a review of numerous redacted nominations.
“I was tremendously honored to receive this award,” Corrigan said. “Over the course of my career at various financial institutions, I have had the privilege of working with so many accomplished women. It was through these relationships I believe we were collectively able to make a difference for women in banking. With the full support of Kearny Bank, I will continue to do my part to provide mentorship and facilitate the development of women in banking.”
Jenn Zorn, executive vice president of NJBankers added, “Having the opportunity to recognize the amazing work women are doing in the New Jersey banking industry is an honor for all of us at NJBankers. There are so many women doing great work at all levels of our industry. And while we only recognize one individual with this award, it serves as a testament to the contributions they all make every day.”
