Corn Named Managing Partner Bowman & Company LLP

Accounting and management consultants Bowman & Company LLP, based in Voorhees, has announced the election of L. Jarred Corn (CPA, RMA, PSA) to managing partner effective July 1.

Corn joined the Governmental Services Department of the firm in 1992 and was admitted to partner July 1st, 2007. His areas of expertise include the audits of municipal governments, school districts, private schools for the disabled, non-profit organizations, authorities, including fire districts, and federal award and state financial assistance programs. He is licensed to practice as a Certified Public Accountant, Public School Accountant, and Registered Municipal Accountant in New Jersey. Corn earned his B.S. in accounting from Trenton State College (now known as The College of New Jersey).

During his career, Corn has performed audit and consulting services for numerous governmental entities and non-profit organizations. Some of his experiences include the City of Camden, the City of Newark, and the Delaware River Port Authority. He has also helped develop and instruct in-house continuing professional education seminars involving the implementation of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) for governmental entities, school district accounting and auditing, and New Jersey municipal accounting and auditing, and has spoken as a discussion leader for continuing professional education seminars. Corn previously served as the chair of the Governmental Services Department at the firm. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and a member of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants, where he serves on the Governmental Accounting and Auditing Interest Group. He is a resident of Lumberton Township, located in Burlington County.
