Frank Aghassi has been appointed vice president, commercial loan regional manager. In his new position, Aghassi will continue to manage the bank’s North Jersey Commercial and Industrial (C&I) Lending Team and oversee the expansion of commercial lending efforts for his group.
Aghassi joined the bank in April of 1996 and held the title of Commercial Loan Officer for many years. In 2003, he was promoted to North Jersey C&I Lending Team Leader. Prior to joining the bank, he has held lending positions at Midlantic Bank and Chase Manhattan (now JP Morgan Chase).
“Frank Aghassi has an extensive commercial lending background,” Thomas J. Kemly, president and CEO of Columbia Bank said. “Frank is a well-known figure in banking who has also served on the Paramus PM Rotary, and various New Jersey Chambers of Commerce. He has held the positions of Director and subsequently President of the Greater Paramus Chamber of Commerce, in addition to Treasurer of the Fritz Behnke Museum.”
Aghassi holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from Pace University. He is also a graduate of Chase Manhattan’s year-long credit training program and holds an Advanced Certificate in Banking from the American Institute of Banking. He currently resides in Ramsey.
