Colliers International has arranged the sale of 134 Franklin Corner Road in Lawrence with privately-held securities broker/dealer firm David Lerner Associates acquiring the 25,000-square-foot office building –– and former headquarters for Trenton Savings Bank.
Colliers International Associate Director Vinny Di Meglio represented David Lerner Associates in the transaction, while Executive Managing Director Thomas Romano and Senior Managing Director Tim Norris represented the seller.
Following the sale, David Lerner Associates will relocate its current office in Princeton to this stately brick building it acquired at 134 Franklin Corner Road, and will occupy 8,600 square feet on the second floor of the two-story property.
Colliers International is actively marketing the remaining 12,000 square feet of available space at the building, which can accommodate tenants in spaces ranging from 1,000 to 10,000 square feet.
The property, built in 1975, features a nicely finished lobby with marble floors, new furnishings, and upgraded lighting. Upcoming renovations to its parking lot and landscaping are among other planned improvements at the building. In addition to its offices in New Jersey and New York, David Lerner Associates maintains offices in Boca Raton, Florida and Westport, Connecticut.
“The sale of 134 Franklin Corner Road to David Lerner Associates speaks to the strong values that users are finding and taking advantage of within this market,” Di Meglio said. “This is a successful model that our client has replicated in their New York offices in Syosset and White Plains, and we are proud to have helped them identify and secure this asset and new home in Lawrence.”
Romano added that 134 Franklin Corner Road’s campus-like setting is an ideal option for a professional or medical office tenants. It is easily accessible to Route 1 and Interstate 95, and in close proximity to an array of retail, shops and restaurants.
