Cole Schotz Elects Warren Usatine as Co-Managing Shareholder

Cole Schotz P.C., a national law firm with a New Jersey office in Hackensack, announced Warren A. Usatine has been elected by the firm’s shareholders to serve as a co-managing shareholder. Usatine will work alongside co-managing shareholders Samuel Weiner and Michael D. Sirota effective immediately. He will be working out of the firm’s Hackensack and New York offices.

“Cole Schotz has long benefitted from Warren’s passion for the firm, talent, experience and character,” said Michael Sirota, who in addition to serving as co-managing shareholder is co-chair of the firm’s Bankruptcy & Corporate Restructuring Department. “This new role will only serve to advance the success of our firm and, most importantly, the clients we serve.”

Usatine has a deep understanding of the firm and has taken on a wide array of responsibilities since being elevated to shareholder in 2004. In addition to his new role, Usatine is co-chair of the firm’s Litigation Department and a member in the Bankruptcy & Corporate Restructuring Department. He has played a prominent role in representing an array of litigation and restructuring clients in complex, commercial matters.

Usatine has been selected for inclusion in the “America’s Leading Lawyers in Bankruptcy” list by Chambers USA for the past seven years. He has repeatedly been selected by his peers for inclusion in Best Lawyers in America in Commercial Litigation (2007-2020), Bankruptcy and Creditor-Debtor Rights Law/Insolvency and Reorganization Law (2010-2020), and Litigation-Bankruptcy (2011-2020), and was named on the Lawyers of the Year list for 2015 and 2018. He has also received several professional excellence awards recognizing his commendable mentorship efforts.

Outside of the firm, Usatine has lectured on various aspects of bankruptcy law as part of New Jersey’s Institute for Continuing Legal Education. He also has served as a panelist in the annual William H. Gindin Bankruptcy Bench Bar Conference.
