Cigna to Move 2,100 Employees to Former Honeywell HQ

Global health insurance provider Cigna will move 2,100 employees to the former Honeywell International headquarters site in Morris Plains. According to the company, the employees are from Evernorth, Cigna’s health services business that also encompasses Express Scripts.

“We continually assess our operations to ensure we are best meeting the needs of our business, customers and clients. As a result of our ongoing analysis, we are securing new office space in Morris Plains that offers the accessibility, flexibility, and conveniences that suits the needs of our employees. Most of the Evernorth employees that currently work at our Franklin Lakes site, which has been listed for sale, will eventually relocate to our new Morris Plains office,” the company announced in a written statement.

The jobs will include a mix of on-site, flex and work from home positions.

It is not known when Cigna will occupy the 200,000-square-foot facility, which it is leasing for 10 years. CIGNA announced earlier in the year that it was putting its Franklin Lakes location up for sale. This site, located on Parsons Pond Road, was formerly owned by IBM and Express Scripts, and was acquired by Cigna approximately two years ago.
