It is expected that New Jersey Governor Chris Christie will announce a bid for president of the United States this coming Tuesday, June 30, at his alma mater, Livingston High School. This was first reported by the radio station WNYC, although the Christie Administration has not made any announcements, itself.
Overall, Christie has been considered a presidential contender since 2012, when he considered a run for the office, at that time.
If he announces his candidacy, Christie is expected to join a growing field of Republican primary contenders, ranging from Ben Carson and Donald Trump, to Texas Governor Rick Perry and Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush.
