Blanchard Named Chemours Chambers Works Plant Manager

The Chemours Company, a global chemistry company with leading market positions in titanium technologies, thermal & specialized solutions, and advanced performance materials, has named Troy Blanchard as plant manager at its Chambers Works facility in Penns Grove.

Blanchard most recently served as operations director for the Chambers Works and Parlin and Elkton, Maryland sites. He has nearly 30 years of experience in the chemical industry, working in manufacturing, supply chain and continuous improvement roles, including 18 years at Chemours’ plant sites and an international assignment as Asia Pacific operations manager. Blanchard holds a degree in electrical engineering from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. In addition to leading the Chambers Works site, he will also serve as plant manager for Chemours’ Parlin and Elkton, Md. sites.

“I am looking forward to expanding my responsibilities at Chambers Works and continuing to serve our sites and local communities,” Blanchard said. “The entire Chemours team and I are committed to building strong partnerships and deep relationships here.”

The Chambers Works site has served as an important research and production facility to help drive the nation’s economic expansion and national security interests throughout its history. The site’s most notable scientist, Charles J. Pedersen, discovered the crown ether molecule in the Jackson Lab at Chambers Works for which he earned a Nobel Prize in 1987. Today, Chambers Works manufactures essential products across many industries including advanced performance materials, lubricants, and dry films.
