Midland Park-based Atlantic Stewardship Bank announced that it was named as a Preferred Lender with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). The Preferred Lenders Program (PLP) is a part of the SBA’s effort to streamline the procedures necessary to provide financial assistance to the small business community.
Additionally, the SBA awards PLP status to lenders based on their record of proficiency in processing and servicing SBA-guaranteed loans as well as a thorough understanding of SBA lending procedures and policies.
“We are honored to be named as a Preferred Lender by the SBA,” said Paul Van Ostenbridge, president and CEO of Atlantic Stewardship Bank. “The Preferred Lender ranking is the highest designation, reserved for top-tier lenders, which is reflective of our mission of being faithful to our customers and servicing their needs. Further, our SBA Department has over 50-plus years of experience under the direction of Rahbar Ameri, senior vice president/SBA director.”
Established in 1985, ASB is a full-service commercial bank serving both individuals and businesses. ASB maintains 12 banking locations, in Hawthorne, Midland Park, Montville, Morristown, North Haledon, Pequannock, Ridgewood, Waldwick, Westwood and Wyckoff, New Jersey, and two offices in Wayne.
