Report of the NJBIA Nominating and Governance Committee

In accordance with Section 3.2 of the By-Laws of the New Jersey Business & Industry Association, the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee shall nominate a number of candidates for trustees and report that slate of nominated candidates, together with notice of the right and method of nomination of trustees by petition, to the membership of the Association. The report shall be included in the Association’s official publication. 

Any 10 percent (10%) of the members of the Association may nominate, by petition bearing their genuine signatures, one or more members as trustees not to exceed the number of trustees to be elected. Such petitions shall be delivered to the chairman of the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee not later than April 1. The Committee shall add the names of such nominees to those nominated by the Committee, and determine the legality of such petitions.

On January 8, 2018, the NJBIA Nomination and Corporate Governance Committee met to discuss the slate of Board Candidates for the term expiring in 2021. The Committee has recommended the following slate of candidates for a three year term, 2018-2021.

• Rashaad Bajwa – President, Domain Computer Services, Inc.
• Dr. Joel Bloom – President, New Jersey Institute of Technology
• Kevin Cummings – President & CEO, Investors Bank
• Celestina Quintana – President, Dorno Corporation
• Deanna Sperling – President & CEO, Behavioral Health Center, RWJBarnabas Health
• Robert Staudinger – President & CEO, National Manufacturing Company, Inc.
• Matthew L. Wright – President, Piper Holdings, LLC

In addition, the Committee has recommended that Brian F. Neuwirth, the current Board Chairman, continue as Chairman of the Board.

Current members of the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee are:

• Brian F. Neuwirth
• Edward A. Stern

Any petitions shall be delivered to Matthew L. Wright, Chairman of the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee, not later than April 1, to NJBIA, 10 West Lafayette Street, Trenton, NJ 08608-2002.

The Annual Meeting of the Association will be held on April 27, 2018 at New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Group, 301 Sullivan Way, West Trenton, NJ 08628, at 1:30 p.m.
