Woodmont Properties Receives ‘Builder of the Year’ Award

Lewis Zlotnick, president of Fairfield-based Woodmont Properties – one of the region’s residential and commercial real estate developers – has received the “Builder of the Year” award from the Metropolitan Builders and Contractors Association of New Jersey. The award is presented annually to one member, recognizing his or her impact in furthering the goals and objectives of the building industry.

Each year, the Metropolitan Builders and Contractors Association of New Jersey honors its members during the Metro Membership Awards event, which recognizes builders, associates, founders, remodelers, and distinguished services based in Essex, Morris, Union, Somerset, Warren, and Hunterdon counties. Metro’s committee selects individuals based on their involvement in the community and ability to exemplify the association’s core values.

An industry veteran with more than 30 years of experience, Zlotnick is responsible for the strategy, implementation and management of Woodmont Properties’ operations. He also oversees construction, property management, marketing, human resources and information technology divisions of the company.

“It is a true honor for Woodmont to be recognized for this prestigious award, which is one of the highest achievements for our region,” Zlotnick said. “With many exciting development projects in our pipeline, we look forward to continuing to make a significant contribution to upgrading New Jersey’s housing stock.”

In addition to this award, Woodmont Properties received a total of 35 awards for 2015, including “Property Management Company of the Year” from the New Jersey Apartment Association (NJAA). The firm was also recognized by NJAA for “Excellence in Property Management” for several properties. Its Woodmont Knolls at Hanover apartment community in Cedar Knolls received ten awards in total, including “Community of the Year.” West Side Lofts, located in the heart of Red Bank’s arts and antiques district, also received six awards.
