Lightower Fiber Networks Opens New Office in New Jersey

Lightower Fiber Networks, an all-fiber provider of custom, high-capacity network services, announced today it has opened a new office at 581 Main Street in Woodbridge. The new office will support Lightower’s sales and operations teams as the company continues to rapidly expand in the Garden State.

Broadband fiber networks are stimulating economic growth in the state and driving significant opportunities in workforce development, education, healthcare, public safety and government services, according to a study issued by the New Jersey State Broadband Initiative (SBI): Helping New Jersey, Plan for Next Generation Broadband. Bandwidth consumption by enterprises and carriers in New Jersey is growing rapidly, driving demand for a robust suite of infrastructure and connectivity services.

“Opening this new Lightower office in Woodbridge is a direct reflection of the growing demand and need for high-capacity networking services in this area as well as the entire state,” commented Rob Shanahan, CEO of Lightower. “From this new location, our teams will deliver the next-generation, all-fiber networking solutions that are helping to fuel the growth of organizations in New Jersey.”

Lightower has been rapidly growing its presence in New Jersey and New York City metro over the past several years. Earlier this month, the company earned authorized vendor status to the New Jersey state government through the Data Communications Network Services T1776 contract. Lightower’s high-performance network offers customers end-to-end connectivity and fiber networking solutions to more than 7,500 service locations throughout its footprint, including the many data centers, financial exchanges, colocation centers and carrier hotels in NJ/NY.
