Investors Bank ‘Chooses’ New Jersey Non-Profit as Grant Recipient

It was an easy choice for the Investors Bank Foundation to provide Choose New Jersey, Inc., with a $25,000 grant earlier this summer. Choose New Jersey, which was founded in 2010, encourages and nurtures economic growth throughout New Jersey, especially focusing on urban centers.

“Choose New Jersey and its supporters share a common vision: to build a better future for New Jersey and its citizens by attracting and retaining businesses in our state,” said Michele Brown, president and CEO of Choose New Jersey. “As an organization that is fully funded by the private sector, we would not be able to continue our work without the contributions of forward-thinking companies like Investors Bank. We thank them for supporting our efforts of creating sustainable jobs and investments in our communities.”

Choose New Jersey aims to attract new business to the state through a variety of activities including marketing, advertising, public relations, providing representation at domestic and international trade shows, and hosting and attending business attraction meetings with site selectors and consultants. The organization also uses lead generation activities to attract potential business prospects and set-up initial meetings.

The New Jersey Partnership for Action, (PFA) also was founded in 2010 and has four members, including Choose New Jersey, which work together in a public-meets-private approach to growing the state’s economy. The PFA is led by Lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno. Choose New Jersey works closely with the other members to coordinate on all business retention projects within the state. Since its inception, the combined efforts of the PFA have resulted in 640 projects, involving $15 billion in private investment.

Choose New Jersey applied for the grant from the Investors Foundation, which supports non-profit organizations that enrich the diverse communities served by Investors Bank.
