Four Personal Injury Attorneys Join Brach Eichler’s Litigation Practice to Form New PI Group

Roseland-based Brach Eichler has announced that four attorneys have joined the firm in its litigation practice and have formed a new personal injury practice group.  Edward P. Capozzi has joined Brach Eichler as a member, and Alex S. Capozzi, Corey A. Dietz, and Kristofer C. Petrie have joined the firm as associates. All four attorneys previously were with Seigel Capozzi in Ridgewood.

Edward Capozzi is certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Certified Civil Trial attorney. He focuses his practice on personal injury arising from automobile, premises, product liability and construction accidents. He has been recognized by New Jersey Law Journal for its “Hall of Fame Award 2014,” having obtained the largest verdict in a product liability case in New Jersey. Named among the Best Attorneys in America and Super Lawyers (the latter, every year since 2010), he is a vice president of the New Jersey Association for Justice (formerly the American Trial Lawyers Association-NJ) and is a lifetime member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum and Million Dollar Advocates Forum. Capozzi is also a member of the American Bar Association, American Association for Justice, New Jersey Bar Association, Bergen County Bar Association, Sussex County Bar Association and the Association of Plaintiffs Interstate Trucking Lawyers of America. Alex S. Capozzi, a trial lawyer, focuses his practice on personal injury claims arising from automobile, premises, product liability and construction accidents. He has handled hundreds of cases involving personal injuries and assisted in obtaining numerous multi-million dollar awards as compensation for victims of catastrophic injuries. He is a member of the American Bar Association, American Association for Justice, New Jersey Association for Justice, Bergen County Bar Association, Passaic County Bar Association, Hudson County Bar Association and the Essex County Bar Association. Admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York, he earned a J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law and a B.A. from Pennsylvania State University. He resides in Jersey City.

Corey A. Dietz is a trial lawyer, specializing in personal injury actions arising from automobile, premises, product liability and construction accidents. Prior to joining Seigel Capozzi, he worked for the Cumberland County District Attorney’s Office in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, where he conducted dozens of bench trials and drafted numerous briefs to the Pennsylvania Superior and Supreme Courts resulting in one published opinion by the Pennsylvania Superior Court. In 2013 he competed in the National Trial Competition in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and was the champion of the Hugh B. Pearce internal trial competition at Widener Harrisburg. Dietz is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association, American Association for Justice, Young Lawyers Division, New Jersey Association for Justice, Union County Bar Association and American Bar Association. He earned a J.D. from the Widener University School of Law and a B.A, cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and before the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. He resides in Scotch Plains.

Kristofer C. Petrie is a personal injury litigator focused on trial practice and appellate advocacy.  He earned a J.D. from West Virginia University College of Law, where he was a member of the Moot Court National Team, Lugar Trial Association, and a semi-finalist in the Baker Cup, giving him the opportunity to argue before several Justices of the West Virginia Supreme Court. He earned a B.A., cum laude, from the University of Georgia. Petrie is a member of the New Jersey Association for Justice and New Jersey State Bar Association. Admitted to practice in New Jersey, he resides in Hoboken.
