Cushman & Wakefield Promotes Nancy Erickson to Senior Director, Firm’s NJ Retail Lead

Commercial real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield has promoted Nancy Erickson to senior director for National Retail Services, announced Andrew Judd, market leader, New Jersey Operations. Erickson, who joined Cushman & Wakefield in 2004, serves as the firm’s New Jersey Retail Lead.

“Nancy Erickson has continued to establish herself as an expert in providing real estate and brokerage services on both the national and local levels,” said Judd. “She is a highly respected and valued leader of our retail team and the firm.”

Erickson’s current focus is on continuing to grow the NJ Retail Team and expanding her well-established client base, performing retail consulting, acquisitions and dispositions of properties for national retailers and landlords. She is also currently managing some of the most prominent landlord assignments in New Jersey, including the Plaza at Harmon Meadow in Secaucus, Valley & Bloom in Montclair, and the Streets of Chester, among others. She is credited with building both her New Jersey team’s agency portfolio and Cushman & Wakefield’s New Jersey Retail Team.

“At Cushman & Wakefield, I can reach out to different service lines and get an immediate response,” said Erickson. “It is a great place for doing cross-selling and sharing information, which has helped us win projects we may not have won on our own.

“This is a good time for New Jersey retail, with a lot of new tenants coming into the market and others expanding,” she said. “At the same time, landlords now rely on us more and more rather than doing it themselves as they did in the past. Even the ‘mom and pop’ operators realize that they need an educated, seasoned and knowledgeable team to lease out their space or sell their property. Landlords also are looking for us to help them transform their new large ‘retail shells’ and develop a strategic retail mix to bring new life to older centers,” added Erickson.

A licensed Real Estate Broker in both New York and New Jersey, Erickson is an active member of ICSC, the shopping center association; and has also served on the Board of Directors and in various chair positions of CoreNet Global NYC. She holds an MBA in Management from Monmouth University and a BS in Marketing from Kean University.
