Choose NJ and BAC are Off to the SelectUSA Summit in Washington, D.C.

Princeton-based Choose New Jersey, Inc. and the New Jersey Business Action Center (BAC) will be promoting the Garden State’s business assets to an international audience at the SelectUSA Investment Summit at the Washington Hilton in Washington D.C., June 19-21.

“We are proud to be representing New Jersey at the SelectUSA Summit,” says Michele Brown, president and CEO of Choose New Jersey, Inc. “New Jersey has so much to offer international companies interested in a U.S. location, including a highly educated workforce and a perfect strategic Northeast location. We look forward to broadening our connections with executives from around the world and discussing the assets that make New Jersey a great place to do business.”

The Summit is the highest-profile event dedicated to promoting foreign direct investment (FDI) in the United States. Nearly 2,400 company and business association executives, representing more than 65 international markets, are expected to attend the 2016 Summit. A program of the U.S. Department of Commerce, SelectUSA’s mission is to facilitate job-creating business-investment in the United States.

“I have spent the last six years doing everything in my power to keep companies from leaving New Jersey and bringing new businesses into our state,” Lt. Governor Guadagno says. “I am confident our state representatives will continue promoting this mission during the summit and highlight the economic advantages to conducting business in New Jersey.”

Representatives from Choose New Jersey and BAC will be meeting with foreign company executives interested in exploring a New Jersey location and will be hosting a booth in the Summit’s exhibition hall. In addition to first-time meetings with business executives exploring a U.S. location, and foreign delegation representatives, the Choose New Jersey team has scheduled several follow-up meetings with executives they engaged with at previous SelectUSA-sponsored events, including the U.S. Investment Pavilion at Hannover Messe, Germany.

“Over the past several years, Choose New Jersey has worked closely with SelectUSA to attract jobs and investment to New Jersey,” says Brown. “As a result of a meeting at the 2015 SelectUSA Investment Summit, Avekshaa Technologies, an IT company headquartered in Bangalore India, chose a New Jersey location. SelectUSA also provided support for BAP Pharma’s recent move to New Jersey. The UK-based company celebrated the opening of its U.S. headquarters in Landing in May.”
