BAP Pharma Celebrates Opening of Its Landing Headquarters

BAP Pharma, an award-winning UK specialist supplier of comparators for clinical trials, today celebrated the official opening of its US headquarters in Landing, New Jersey – the company’s first facility located in the United States. “We welcome our neighbors, clients and the media to share this important milestone with us,” said BAP’s managing director, Dr. Bashir Parkar.

The event was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony, opened by Lucas Nigro, vice president of
BAP US, Inc. Additional speakers included: BioNJ founding President and CEO Debbie Hart; and Michele Brown, president and CEO of Choose New Jersey, Inc.

Choose NJ, a nonprofit economic development organization charged with business attraction and marketing the state, and its partners assisted Dr. Parkar in identifying available real estate that might fit BAP’s needs. “With so many international pharma and biotech companies settled in New Jersey and the greater Northeast, BAP’s new US facility is in the sweet spot for outreach to potential new clients, and for their recognition of BAP’s expertise,” said Brown. “It was a pleasure working with Dr. Parkar to help BAP find the perfect ‘home’ in New Jersey for their first US facility.”

“Michele is exactly right,” said Dr. Parkar. “We are most grateful for Choose New Jersey’s help. I am so pleased with the site and facility we chose to lease. Without CNJ’s location expertise, we could have missed this opportunity.” BAP is situated close by its clients, as well as a number of global pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. “This has enabled us to create new relationships and further solidify our existing client connections,” said Dr. Parkar.

“When we moved to New Jersey, we felt that the state’s terrific transportation network would
improve our ability to send products quickly and efficiently across the region and throughout the
world,” added Lucas Nigro, vice president of BAP’s new US headquarters. “It has pushed our
growth forward even more quickly. We couldn’t be happier.”
