Auxiliary Donates $21,000 to RWJ Hamilton

Through bake sales, jewelry sales and a number of other special fundraising events, the Auxiliary of Robert Wood Johnson (RWJ) Hamilton raised an impressive $21,000 for the hospital in 2014.

The Auxiliary presented a check for the donation to RWJ Hamilton President & CEO Richard Freeman on March 17 prior to their monthly meeting. The funds will go to support the Auxiliary’s $150,000 pledge to the H.H. Tuchman Pediatric Emergency Center Capital Campaign. Since 2012, the Auxiliary has donated a total of $64,000 for this pledge.

The Auxiliary of RWJ Hamilton was founded with a mission of improving the quality of healthcare provided to the hospital’s patients and the community through advocacy, fundraising and service. Their annual monetary gift is raised from various fundraisers and events, including book and bake sales, jewelry sales, the hospital gift shop and the group’s annual Tree of Lights Ceremony.

Over the years their support has contributed to such projects as the contemplative Grounds for Healing® at the Cancer Institute of New Jersey on the RWJ Hamilton campus and the new Lakefront Patient Tower.
