Aqua America Promotes Operations Manager to President of Its NJ Subsidiary

Aqua America, Inc. announced John Hildabrant as president of its Aqua New Jersey subsidiary – based in Hamilton Township – which provides drinking water and wastewater service to a population of 165,000 across 27 municipalities in 8 counties throughout the Garden State. Hildabrant previously held the position of operations manager.

Hildabrant, who has 27 years of water and wastewater operations and management experience, joined Aqua New Jersey in 2005 as a division superintendent after spending 15 years collectively in American Water’s Pennsylvania and Ohio operations, most recently as an operations manager.

“John has a great combination of qualifications that will serve him well as he leads our New Jersey operations,” said Aqua America Chief Operations Officer Rick Fox. “He has extensive experience in both water and wastewater operations and equally important, he has developed strong relationships with our New Jersey employees, having worked with them for more than a decade, earning their respect and trust. This combination is going to make him a great leader for our New Jersey operations.”

Hildabrant earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Franklin University in Columbus Ohio. His professional memberships include the American Water Works Association and the Water Environment Federation. He holds New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection certifications for water treatment, water distribution and collection system operations.
