NJBIA Event Helps Truckers ‘Keep on Truckin’ Safely

NJM hosts seminar

NJM Insurance Company (NJM) hosted the New Jersey Business & Industry Association’s (NJBIA) first Federal Motor Carrier Safety Seminar on Friday, October 17, in Hammonton.

David J. Yessen, federal program specialist from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, presented information about basic compliance with US Department of Transportation regulations for commercial truck operators.

Afterwards, Sergeant Karen Kaufman and Trooper David Lawless of the New Jersey State Police Motor Coach Compliance Safety Audit Review Unit performed a vehicle inspection on an NJM vehicle.

More than 80 NJBIA members attended the seminar.

“This was a great opportunity for NJM and NJBIA to reinforce their value to NJBIA members,” said Jim Cronin, NJM assistant vice president of Commercial Lines. “We spoke with many policyholders during the seminar and the feedback we received was very positive.”
